The ombre color decor can give different atmosphere to your room decoration. It involves all shades of one particular color that goes from darker to lighter shades. You can apply the technique to your walls, furniture, accessories, carpets, wall arts, bedding, and curtains. Put the darker shade on the lower part of those items to make a more balanced look.
The ombre color wall is the most observable project since it’s applied to the largest surface in the room. Take the blue ombre wall in the corner, for instance. You can apply the dark blue to the lower part of the wall. Then, as you’re going up, put the lighter and lighter shades of the blue color, until at the end, your blue looks like having more white in it. The suitable color for the furniture is the neutral wooden color. You can then add some bold blue and pink to the decorative items like lamp, curtain, painting, and pillow.
Another version of the above technique is to put white stripe each time you move into the lighter shade. That way, you can see clearly the changes of the shade. The ombre blue bedroom can be the best example of this technique. You need to set the ombre wall first, then add the furniture in all white color, like the bed, book shelves, and table. After that, you can add the accessories in dark blue, beige, or blue and white in floral pattern.
The same technique can be applied to other items in the room. You can also apply different colors to different side of the walls in the same room. Challenge yourself to do some experiment with the color combination. You can even use some unusual pair of colors like grey and yellow. The ombre color technique creates a beautiful home decor with unique look.
